Swim State Competition Report

The girls 200 medley relay placed 14th at the State meet and 8 girls represented ECS in this event - (Ginger Thomas, Kelsey Villaflor, Julia Kelleher, and Mia Incledon) swam the relay at Prelims in the morning and (Kelsey Moss, Kaylei Cunniff, Erica Mills, and Caitlin Ross) swam the relay in the evening at Finals.

Kaylei Cunniff placed 24th at the State meet in both the 200 IM and the 100 breaststroke. Qualifying for the State meet as an 8th grader is a huge accomplishment for Kaylei. She is the first Sentinel lady to represent ECS in individual event at the State level.

Brendan Peacock was second place at the State meet in the 500 freestyle. His time of 4:27.37 qualifies him to be an All-American! He reset his team record in that event. He was 10th place in the 200 freestyle. He has represented ECS as a swimmer for the last 7 seasons, and as a Senior he has swum his last races as a Sentinel at State and will be signing with the University of Florida.

This was the peak of a great season that saw the girls place 2nd in team points at Districts, 4th in team points at Regionals and send the biggest group of Sentinel swimmers to date on to the State Meet.
