Florence Crawford was born and raised in North Carolina but has lived in Fort Myers for nearly 16 years. She graduated from the University of North Carolina and has a masters in business from Gardner-Webb University. Coach Crawford's family has been involved with ECS for eight years now and she has three kids in second, sixth and ninth grades. She is also an upper school PE teacher at ECS.
Coach Crawford started running track and cross country in high school. She has run recreationally ever since but started competing more in recent years. In the past few years she has branched out into half marathons and full marathons and was honored to run the Boston Marathon in 2016 & 2018.
This is Coach Crawford's second year coaching cross country at ECS. She says, "the lessons, learned from running, of perseverance and finding your own personal strength flow over into every aspect of life. I look forward to coaching cross country and helping runners find their personal best."
